New bike trails in review in Richmond, California

The East Bay Regional Park District is reviewing a proposal for a bike-optimized trail in the Wildcat Canyon Regional Park. According to the Richmond Standard, the proposal stems from the increased interest in mountain biking, especially on scholastic MTB teams. The trail corridor would run through an open grassland area with views of the San Francisco Bay. There will be additional public meetings in the summer and fall, according to East Bay Regional Parks.

New skills park opens in Pennsylvania

A new bike skills park has opened in Centre County, Pennsylvania and it offers a variety of trails and features to suit all skill levels. The Nittany Mountain Biking Association was involved in the creation and it’s open from sunrise to sunset each day.

Allegheny parks connecter under review

The Allegheny County Parks Foundation is proposing a connection between two of the Pennsylvania county’s most popular parks. A study is taking place to review the feasibility of the connections, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

New bike trails open in Fremantle, Australia

The Booyeembara Park Mountain Bike Trails are now open in Fremantle, Australia and will be home to a variety of different trails, from beginner pump tracks to intermediate tabletops and advanced drops and wall rides. According to Mirage News, the park was first concieved in 2019 when the Fremantle Mountain Biking Collective approahced the town of Fremantle with a proposal.

SWIMBA adds new trail to Eagle Bike Park

Volunteers with the SouthWest Idaho Mountain Bike Association cut the ribbon on a new trail at Eagle Bike Park in Eagle, Idaho called The Seven Sins.

Wasabi Trail opens in Ashland, Oregon

The Rogue Valley Mountain Bike Association just celebrated the official opening on the Wasabi Trail on Saturday in the city of Ashland. The trail is designed for riders of all abilities, and includes three optional features for riders who want to spice things up.

New trails open, more to come this summer in Vermont

The first phase of trails at Bombardier Park in Milton, Vermont are already open to riders, and another two miles of beginner-friendly singletrack is slated to open this summer.

Plans in the works for Minnesota bike park to open this fall

Officials with the Three Rivers Parks District are working on plans for Taft Bike Park in Richfield, Minnesota. The park could be completed this fall and will offer a mix of jumps and technical features.
