If you haven’t already made plans to ride your bike someplace new this year, what are you waiting for?! Of course there are nearly endless mountain bike destinations to explore, though few are as well known or as longstanding as Moab, Utah.
If you’ve been more than once, tell us why you went back in the comments below. And if you answered that you’re not interested, we’d like to know why too!
With all the options in the region, there’s far more than Moab. All of which should bring a great experience to everyone that explores the region.
I’m tempted to move out west. There is so much. Besides Moab, I’ve ridden Fruita and Phil’s World. Ridden extensively in Oregon and southern Washington.
Home base is in Florida, but make a western trip each summer or fall and love riding at several locations each trip. After thirty+ years, I’ve created quite a garden spot and would give up a lot residentially in a move, but wanderlust is always tugging at my heart.
I’m in Colorado, so it isn’t that far from me fortunately. However, I find I prefer riding in Grand Junction/Fruita area and rarely make the effort to drive the extra 1.5 hours to Moab unless I’m with or meeting up with a friend who wants to scratch it off the bucket list.
Spent the last week of September the past two years…… the more I go, the more I want to go again.
I live in Fruita, and Moab is an hour and fifteen away. So yes I ride there frequently, it’s close enough to go for day trips and have annual passes to places like Sand Flats.
